He affirms that “both the PP and Vox echo” the “mud machine”, whose origin lies “in the non-recognition of the legitimacy of the Government”

MADRID, 5 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has assured that “the time has not come” to talk about the succession at the head of the PSOE and points out that it will not be he who decides but rather the “militants” because “the socialist party is the party of their militancy”.

“That moment has not arrived. The socialist party is the party of its militancy. And when that debate comes, the one who will decide will not be me. It will be the militants themselves who decide who will be the person who will continue the trajectory that Felipe, José Luis and I have led the socialist party,” he said this Sunday in an interview with ‘El País’, collected by Europa Press.

Sánchez admits that during the days in which he reflected on his future, he did not think about who his successor would be. “I was thinking about a difficult situation from a personal and political point of view, about myself, about what to do,” he confesses.

Regarding the five days in which he distanced himself from his public agenda, Sánchez defends that he had to explain how he felt to the general public in the face of what seemed to him “a crude and vulgar outrage.” “Since then, what I have experienced are five days that I will never forget, with eternal gratitude personally, but also politically, because in the end there have been many people who have been challenged by the deterioration of democracy,” he said. commented.

In this sense, he criticizes that there is a “mud machine” that swamps public conversation and, therefore, maintains that his letter was a “rebellion” to not turn “what unreason is into routine.” “As President of the Government of Spain, I have suffered, not for myself, but for what I represent, systematic harassment to try to dehumanize me,” he denounced.

Sánchez considers that the origin of the “mud machine” responds to the “non-recognition of the legitimacy of the progressive coalition government” and says that “both the PP and Vox echo the hoaxes that then escalate to the political debate and then flood the media gatherings and end up being prosecuted by these far-right pseudo-entities, whether they are called Clean Hands, Make Yourself Hear or whatever their name is.

“This has happened with Felipe González, with José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, but not with this magnitude. The tools that we have today of artificial intelligence, social networks, digital tabloids did not exist,” he assured.

During the interview, Sánchez, asked if he believes that it is not correct for his wife to support a company that aspires to public awards, defends that his wife made a declaration of interest along with 32 other declarations of interest from companies, institutions, corporations. digital or institutions such as the Madrid City Council.

“The public company Red.es. clarified it to the digital pseudo-media. And we find ourselves with the judicialization of a pseudo-union that precisely what it says is that probably much of the information it has presented to the judge is false,” he stated.

Finally, regarding the renewal of the CGPJ, the president affirms that “it is not the Government that is going to have to offer a solution, it must be Parliament” and regrets that it is not renewed because “excuses” continue to be made, although he trusts that the reform “has to be done.”

“It is in Parliament where the members of the General Council of the Judiciary are decided and appointed. Neither justice can be politicized nor politics judicialized. And I insist, I believe in the independence of the judiciary, I believe in justice” , he added.
