The risk of rain and storms will affect a good part of the southeast of the peninsula this Tuesday, where showers may leave 15 to 20 liters per square meter, as reported by the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), which expects a day marked by some showers. with hail in different areas of the country and a thermal drop in night temperatures in the interior of the peninsula.

Specifically, the AEMET has warned the provinces of Albacete, Jaén, Granada, Almería, Ibiza and Formentera, Murcia, Castellón, Valencia, Alicante, due to the risk (yellow) of rain and storms, which in the case of the Valencian provinces will be accompanied by hail.

Early in the day there will be cloudy intervals in the extreme north of the peninsula, without ruling out some light rain on the eastern Cantabrian coast, although in the north the skies will tend to be slightly cloudy.

In addition, an isolated depression at high levels of the atmosphere (DANA) is approaching the southwest of the Peninsula, which will increase instability and cloudiness that will give rise to showers and storms that will move from Melilla to the south of the peninsula and the southeastern quadrant. without ruling out surrounding areas and the west of the Balearic Islands.

The AEMET does not rule out that these precipitations will be locally strong or persistent in the afternoon-night in the southeast, without ruling out other areas.

In the rest of the Peninsula, a slightly cloudy day will predominate, although evolution clouds will grow that may give rise to some weak showers in the western Cantabrian, northern Iberian, northern face of the Pyrenees and Catalan coasts. Morning fogs in mountain areas are also not ruled out, as well as high haze in the south of the peninsula and Melilla.

In the Canary Islands there will be cloudy intervals in the north of the islands, with the possibility of some weak precipitation in those with greater relief, and little cloudiness in the south.

As for temperatures, the minimum temperatures will drop in the northwest interior, the Pyrenees and in Catalonia while the maximum temperatures will rise on the Atlantic slope and decrease in the Mediterranean area. In the rest, no major changes are expected.

Finally, the winds will blow from the southwest on the coast of Galicia and will arrive from the east in the eastern Mediterranean area. The trade winds will blow in the Canary Islands and variable winds will predominate in the rest.
