Cercanías Madrid has cut off train circulation through the Recoletos tunnel, which connects Chamartín and Atocha, due to an incident on an Almería-Madrid train as it enters the latter.
As explained by the company to Europa Press, traffic has been cut off in both directions due to the departure of several of the train axles from the track on its way to Chamartín.
In total, there were 37 people traveling in it who have already been evacuated, since it stopped at the height of the platforms. There have been no injuries.
At the moment they are guaranteeing mobility and circulation through this cut section, opting for an alternative route that involves transferring at the Nuevos Ministerios station to be able to later reach Chamartín. Long and Medium Distance trains have also been affected.
