BARCELONA, 8 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The candidate of the PSC to preside over the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, has committed to appoint the current mayor of Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelona) and spokesperson of the PSC, Núria Parlon, as Minister of the Interior, and as director general of the Mossos the ex-commissioner head of the Catalan police Josep Lluís Trapero if he presides over the Government.
This was announced this Tuesday in the debate on TV3 and Catalunya Ràdio, where he pointed out that security policy is very relevant and regretted that Catalonia has registered “the worst rates” in this area.
The socialist candidate has highlighted that Parlon has been “excellent in security policies” in Santa Coloma de Gramenet, and has assured that these appointments would allow the current situation to be reversed.
