MADRID, 2 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Santander distributes this Tuesday among its shareholders a complementary dividend charged to 2022 profits of 0.0595 gross euros per title, which brings the total amount to about 979 million euros.

This dividend joins the one already distributed in November of 0.0583 million euros charged to the profits of 2022, and which also represented a disbursement of 979 million euros.

In this way, through cash payments, the bank has given a total of 1,958 million euros to its shareholders, which represents 20% of the profit it obtained in 2022 of 9,605 million euros.

To complement these cash dividends, Santander has also implemented two share repurchases for the same amount, which complies with the bank’s 40% payout for the past year.

At the end of February, Santander announced, however, that it would raise its shareholder remuneration policy from approximately 40% to around 50% of profit between 2023 and 2025, both through cash dividends and share repurchases.
