Foot Locker collaborates with the European Institute of Design of Madrid (IED Madrid) to celebrate the ‘Back to School’ campaign with the creations of young students

Foot Locker and the Istituto Europeo di Design de Madrid (IED Madrid) have collaborated to present a series of designs from the ‘back to school’ collection from a fresh and creative perspective: selected young talents from IED Madrid have taken on the challenge of reinventing key looks from the collection during a series of workshops at the School. These workshops are part of Foot Locker’s ‘It’s sneaker season’ campaign, which encapsulates the essence of the arrival of September and the new season, to take the best step forward with the brand’s ‘freshest’ models. The creative process is will take place at the IED Madrid during the first week of September in a series of workshops where students will bring their personal and unique perspective to the collection, using fabrics, textures and printing elements, guided by the professors and the team of professors of the IED Madrid and Foot Locker. During the workshops, they will have the opportunity to contribute their personal vision to the iconic models of brands such as Nike, Jordan, adidas and PUMA, each unique piece will be an opportunity to make a personal statement. In addition, during the development of the workshop, the fashion influencer and specialist in ‘streetwear’ Carlota Marañón (Instagram @carlomaranon) will participate interacting with the students and giving their opinion of the looks they are creating. This project is a declaration of intent on the part of by Foot Locker to engage with the community and give young creatives a platform to showcase their designs and express their individuality by working with items from the ‘back to school’ collection. The most outstanding looks will be displayed in the Foot Locker store on Calle Preciados in Madrid, where students will have the opportunity to give visibility to their creations, in one of the most emblematic locations and playing a fundamental role in the configuration of the space.
