MADRID, 12 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The PP will take to the Plenary Session of Congress next week a non-legal proposal to demand measures from the Government that allow reversing the accumulation of “deficiencies” in the service provided to citizens by Social Security.
This initiative of the PP is similar to a motion that they presented just a few weeks ago, which was the consequence of an urgent question from the PP deputy, Elvira Rodríguez, to the Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migrations, José Luis Escrivá.
To justify this new proposal, to which Europa Press has had access, the PP refers in its proposal to a report from the Ombudsman, where according to the ‘popular’ the high commissioner urges that “the deficiencies appreciated in the citizen services” within the Public Administration.
And it is that the Popular Group maintains that the situation that Social Security is currently experiencing “is far removed” from the provision of an “effective and quality” public service, something that in its opinion is “incompatible with the right to good Administration”.
In line with this, the Popular Group has indicated that the law regulating customer service, currently in the parliamentary process, requires companies to improve the service they provide, imposing “unaffordable charges “, which for the PP “does not require or apply the Government to its own care services.”
Thus, the Government has suggested extending to all the public services of the General State Administration the same demands for customer service that are imposed on private companies in the Customer Service Law.
With regard to the other two points of the proposal, the PP wants the measures to be regulated so that the citizen care services provided by the offices of the General State Administration and the Social Security Administration recover the quality and efficiency that are their own.
Likewise, they ask that an evaluation of the public sector be carried out, to make it “more efficient and effective”, in order to allow “awareness” of its dimensions and thus be able to propose a reorganization of the Public Administration, especially in the field of Social Security .
