MADRID, 19 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky believes that the war will end diplomatically, but has ruled out sitting down for a dialogue with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. “Who can talk to that maniac? (…) He has blood on his hands,” he said.

In a meeting in Kiev with several journalists from African media, Zelensky compared President Putin’s methods with those of Adolf Hitler and stressed that Ukraine has always refused to enter into dialogue under the ultimatums imposed by Russia, according to the Ukrainian agency. UNIAM.

“When he ordered my murder, that of my family and that of my entourage, we said no (…) Who is ready to talk to this maniac? And then we said that the time would come and that the war would still end diplomatically, but speak to this man, I’m sorry, he has blood on his hands,” he said.

Zelenski has assured that there was a moment in which everyone was willing to accept that the end was possible through diplomatic channels, but after the liberation of the city of Bucha — it is estimated that during the Russian occupation of just a few days at least 420 people were murdered–mass murders against the population were discovered.

“Russia has said: ‘we are ready to talk’, but at the same time, it seized the nuclear power plant and knocked out our electricity in winter. There hasn’t been a blackout on this continent for the last 100 years. The last one was under Hitler, under fascism. And they ask us how we can compare, because he is doing the same thing that Hitler did”, remarked the Ukrainian president.

In this comparative line, Zelenski has continued to affirm that the tactics used by the Russian Army are similar to those used by the troops of Nazi Germany. “In every town we vacated, in every one of them there were mass graves of tortured Ukrainians. In every one, without exception”, he has said.
